ULTRASONIC TESTING
In order to quickly and precisely find flaws and measure material depth for a variety of applications and industries, including aerospace, military, and commercial, highly-trained staff of certified ultrasonic inspectors use advanced instrumentation and data reporting capabilities. With this technique, Element inspectors can pass ultrasonic waveforms through a material to find flaws and perform a full volumetric inspection. For complex geometric parts that might not otherwise be subject to thorough volumetric inspection, contact testing, phased array, and the immersion technique are available.
MAGNETIC TESTING
For ferromagnetic materials like castings, weldments, forgings, machined or stamped parts, magnetic particle inspection is one of the quickest and most economical nondestructive examinations available. Element provides magnetic particle inspections for today's precision aerospace, military, nuclear, and commercial industries, ranging from on-site assessments using portable equipment to in-lab inspections on large components.
PENETRANT TESTING
Our professionals can perform penetrant testing on everything from small electronic components to huge objects up to 15 feet in diameter thanks to the processing lines in liquid penetrant inspection.
Since PT is one of the most portable surface inspection techniques and can find faults in non-metallic and non-ferromagnetic materials, it enables us to undertake thorough onsite penetrant examination.
WELDING INSPECTION
MIT offers a number of visual testing services that, in most cases, can be used as the initial method of inspection to find flaws and spot issues at the very beginning of fabrication. The latest optical enhancing tools, including borescopes and digital video crawlers, can be used by technicians certified by AWS Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI), ASNT's ACCP (ASNT Central Certification Program), and ASNT-TC-1A Level II.
